Since he left 5 years ago, I have tried to want other men. I went out with a few over the years. One got a bj, one came in his pants, and I let another one all the way. I don't think I'm cut out for relationships. I did try. For me, none of those experiences came close to what I had with him. They all still , but I am just not interested in second best, or less.

It's possible that those people were just not right for you, or even right at the time. I believe if you continue trying you may be able to find something similar or better than what you had before.

You never know. My mother needed I'd say x or x years after her divorce to find herself. Only more recently has she been actively dating. I know it doesn't apply to everyone, or many people at all. Just my view from experiences.
